At 29, I was a fast-tracked, high-performing Global Talent Management Consultant in a gigantic corporate. From the outside: polished, capable, moving quickly. On the inside: Chronic Fatigue, brain fog, and a level of fear I'd managed to hide very well — though I wasn't really aware of it as fear. Just a deep sense of not feeling good enough, despite my results showing otherwise.
I was already trained in people development and coaching, and was running workshops for horse riders at weekends. I knew my body was failing me, my confidence was disappearing, and I couldn't sustain being so out of alignment any longer. So I made the biggest decision of my life — quit my job and started my own business. For the next six years, I ran exactly the same nervous system patterns in a different setting. My work had changed. My patterns hadn't.
I was a trained NLP practitioner. I tried coaching, frameworks, insight work. It helped a bit — but I knew I still wasn't performing at my full potential. It wasn't until I discovered I was working from patterns deeply rooted in my nervous system that anything actually shifted. I didn't need more insight or a different strategy. I needed to change my physiology.
So I did. The change was significant. I stopped procrastinating, stopped putting off decisions because they felt too big, stopped feeling exhausted by the mental drain of it all. My mindset coaching business became a scalable coaching and training company — now globally recognised as world class.
That's the work I do now. With business owners who are already successful by most external measures — capable, intelligent, experienced — but who know that something underneath is shaping how they operate in ways they can't quite name. This workbook is the starting point. It doesn't fix anything. It creates the clarity that makes real change possible.
